
COMMUNICATING FOR RESULTS
Communication involves creating meaning, motivating, instructing, and expressing values. This training workshop provides practical insights into organizational communication issues, including gender communication, and explores aspects of communication required to stimulate commitment and enthusiasm geared to improve organizational performance. Participants will engage in analysis of communication needs for meeting organizational goals and objectives. Special emphasis is placed on understanding communication as content, context and relationship; the power of shared information; and the core elements of effective listening.
Participants will learn the nuts and bolts of organizational communication, and learn to:
- Put organizational communication skills into practice with RESULTS in mind
- Apply their communication skills to their interactions with others
Topics include:
- What is communication? Content, Context and Relationship.
- Gender and other communication differences
- Why professionals want to improve their communication skills – talking, listening, writing and e-modes of communication.
- Linking communication skills to results – making YOUR COMMUNICATION skills work for you! *
* Can also be enhanced to include voluntary use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment instrument as appropriate to the goals of the participants and organization. Dr. Bean is a qualified MBTI professional.
